The FIFTIERS 2025 Congress redefines age as an opportunity, not a limitation
FIFTIERS | Life Begins at 50. La vida comienza a…
The majestic Hotel Palace in Madrid hosted yesterday, Monday, the celebration of the FIFTIERS CONGRESS 2025, an inspiring gathering organized by FIFTIERS™, an editorial, business, and social movement of the LUXONOMY™ Group, which brought together leaders from various sectors to reflect on the transformative role of people over 50 in the economy, culture, health, and technology of the 21st century.
Under the direction of Pablo Gutiérrez-Ravé Villalón, founder of the FIFTIERS™ ecosystem, the Congress took place in the iconic Medinaceli Hall of the Hotel Palace, a space rich in history that became a symbol of a new vision of time, maturity, and personal and professional reinvention.
Journalist Fina Grosso, who hosted the event, opened the day with an emotional speech centered on the value of time and the vital attitude of the so-called FIFTIERS:
“Being a FIFTIER is not about age; it is a way of understanding life. Time does not take away from us — it adds perspective and courage. Growing older does not mean stopping; it means reinventing oneself.”
FOUR DEBATE PANELS, ONE SHARED VISION OF THE FUTURE
The Congress was structured around four major debate panels, addressing the key pillars of the new longevity economy from complementary perspectives: finance, tourism, health, and technology.

1. Finance and Wealth Planning
Experts from JP Morgan, Ontier, IE Real Estate, and Lucas Fox agreed that people over 50 already hold 80% of global wealth, and that wealth management must now incorporate vision, purpose, and legacy.
They emphasized the importance of professional family structures, impact investing, and intergenerational planning as pillars of future economic stability.

2. Tourism, Lifestyle and New Experiences
With the participation of representatives from the Seville City Council, La Farm, Fontecruz Hotels and the Palladium Group, the panel explored the rise of silver and experiential luxury tourism.
Speakers highlighted that travelers aged 50+ now represent one in every four tourists and are transforming the industry toward wellness, authenticity, and quality, moving away from mass tourism.
“Well-lived time is the new luxury,” summarized moderator Sara de Pablos, advisor and founder of Greater.

3. Longevity, Health and Well-being
Moderated by Catalina Hoffman, the panel featured Dr. Elisabeth Arrojo Álvarez, CEO of Longevitas Labs, Ilona Calparsoro, and Laura Fernández, founder of UPGRADE.
The discussion focused on preventive medicine, biotechnology, personalized supplementation, and exercise as a life insurance policy.
“Living longer is not enough: we must live better, with health, strength, and purpose,” said Hoffman.
Experts agreed that the longevity of the future will be personalized, ethical, and technological.

4. Technology and Lifestyle
The final panel, moderated by Susana Cabello, featured José Domínguez Campelo (PayPal Spain), Juan Antonio Luque (Clearis Group), and Juan Carlos Rodríguez (Mail Boxes Etc.).
The discussion showed how artificial intelligence is already driving logistics, banking, and e-commerce, and how the 50+ generation is leading its adoption with strategic vision.
A CLEAR CONCLUSION: THE FUTURE ALSO BELONGS TO US
The Congress concluded with a unanimous message: longevity is not a challenge, but an opportunity for human, social, and economic leadership.
“Life does not fade at 50 — it ignites. The future belongs to those who age without surrender, to those who continue learning, creating, and sharing.”
After the sessions, attendees enjoyed a wine tasting offered by Bodegas Alta Pavina, a symbol of the harmony between experience and celebration. The event concluded with a cocktail reception at the Hotel Palace.
All session summaries, reports, and full conclusions will be available on the network www.fiftiers.net for all Congress attendees.
